Talayar Valley is easily approachable from the town of Munnar. The approach road is good all the way to the Talayar Valley Bungalow operated by the Woodbriar group. It is 18 km from Munnar, on the way to Udumelpet. This entire journey gives you the opportunity to enjoy spectacular view of the mountains, green carpets of winding and wavy tea plantations, brooks and small waterfalls. Woodbriar plantations here share borders with Eravikulam National Park which has been a prominent wildlife reserve to protect the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. As you near Talayar Valley something overwhelming happens all around you. Slowly mountains large and small keep popping-up on both sides. By the time you enter the bungalow compound, you are encircled by mountains. You get to experience a stunning 360 degree panoramic view of the mountain ranges that surround the bungalow. The total area of the plantation is 2500 acres mostly tea and some coffee.

The Bungalow
The Talayar Valley Bungalow has a vast compound with plenty of space for relaxation and enjoyment. It has a superbly maintained flower garden that can inspire you visually and spiritually. Here you can relax with your reading material or just sit and enjoy nature. There are also hammocks that can provide you the ultimate relaxation. Make your evenings eventful at the bonfire pit and enjoy your Bar-b-Q as well. The suites here are fantastically designed with different interior décor themes. The Royal Talayar Suite, Magnolia Suite, Rose Suite and the Blue Jay Suite.
